A gas flow programmer comprises a gas passage having a restriction and a valve urged to the open position by a spring and the pressure in the passage downstream of the restriction and loaded to the closed position by the pressure of gas in a control zone which pressure is varied continuously during operation of the programmer. The control is initially charged from the gas supply and during operation the zone is open to exhaust through a valve which causes a linear reduction in the pressure in the zone, thus providing a gradual increase in the flow of gas through the passage.</p> |
