PURPOSE:To manufacture a precise tap body of cock inexpensively by a simple working process, by cutting a round bar material to form a conical part, and a gripping part, and bending the gripping part at a desired angle. CONSTITUTION:A proper round bar material 1 is attached to an automatic machine tool and is cut from its other end by a cutter while rotating it, and is formed in sequence into a conical part 3, a stepped part 4 for holding a press over at the time of assembling, and a gripping part 5. After finishing the cutting, the gripping part 5 of a worked material 2, cut off from the end of gripping part 5, is bent so that it makes at a desired angle of approximately 100- 110 deg. to the center line of the conical part 3, and then a tap body 10 is obtained. The body 10 is incorporated as it is into a main cock body to complete a cock by drilling a hole at the prescribed position and fitting the surfaces. |
