COSMETIC, HISTAMINE LIBERATION-INHIBITING AGENT AND MULTIPLICATION OF ALOE

PURPOSE:To provide a cosmetic and a histamine liberation-inhibiting agent inhibiting the inflammation and chromatosis of skin after burnt with sunlight, by containing the extracts of Aloe andongensis Bak. and/or Aloe brevifolia Mill. as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:The plant bodies of Aloe andongensis Bak. and/or Aloe brevifolia Mill. are extracted with a solvent such as water or alcohol at the ordinary temperature or under heating and the obtained extract is subsequently added to a cosmetic in an amount of 0.001-20wt.%, preferably 0.01-10wt.%, based on the whole amount of the cosmetic as a solid content. An aloe multiplied by a tissue culturing method wherein the stem top portion or plant body of the aloe is cultured aseptically cultured in an artificial solid medium containing a plant hormone (e.g. benzyl adenine or kinetine) to form a multi-bud body is preferably employed as the above-mentioned aloe.
