PURPOSE:To prevent trailing phenomena and to improve reproducibility of fine lines and gradation, by developing electrostatic latent images plural times by using plural pieces of developing rolls. CONSTITUTION:The 1st developing roll 1 consists of a magnetic roll 4 and a cylindrical roll 5, in which roll 4 rotates clockwise and sleeve 5 counterclockwise thereby forming the magnetic brush (f) of magnetic toners (e). The 2nd developing roll 9 is provided below the 1st roll 1. The 2nd roll 9 consists of a stationary magnetic roll 11 and a cylindrical sleeve 12 enclosing the same, and only the sleeve 12 rotates counterclockwise, thereby forming the magnetic brush (f) of the toners (e). |
