Light-valve line made of an electrooptical substrate and method for its production
摘要
Light-valve lines made of electrooptical lead-lanthanum-zirconate-titanate (PLZT) ceramic show an undesired reduction of the switching contrast during the operational period. This reduction of the switching contrast is brought about by ageing effects which have their cause in a strong concentration of electrical fields at the edges of the electrodes. For the reduction of high electrical field strengths, it is proposed to provide the surface of the PLZT ceramic with an electrically conductive layer, or to increase the conductivity of the volume region of the substate lying under the electrodes with respect to the material lying under the lightvalve. <IMAGE>
