<p>PURPOSE:To improve the rate of aperture by providing the extension parts of picture element electrodes which come into conductive contact with picture element electrodes and are placed at the same potential between the picture element electrodes so that said parts contribute to display. CONSTITUTION:Connecting films 7 of driving elements 30 are formed of a transparent conductive film 2 and the parts between the picture element electrodes are covered with a insulating films 6 which insulate and coat the driving element parts from the films 7. The extension parts 41, 42 of the picture element electrodes which consist of the conductive film 2 for the connecting films and come into conductive contact with the picture element electrodes 10 are provided on the insulating films 6 covering the parts between the picture element electrodes. The effective display area of the display panel is, therefore, widened by as much as the extension parts 41, 42 are provided. The rate of aperture of the display panel is thereby improved.</p> |
