The reinforcing member for a concrete structure consists of a chain (1) with links (2). There are pref. lateral strips and/or ribs on the links, the ribs typically corrugated. The links can be of round or rectangular cross-section, and with such surfaces that they lie flat against each at their joints. They can be of channel-section sheet metal. ADVANTAGE - Facility for taking up tensile forces, easy embedding by casting, and handling.
