In the process disclosed, an intermediate layer (2) is first applied in the pipe (1) to be lined and then a mechanically and chemically stable layer (3) to be sealed is applied to the insulating intermediate layer. The intermediate layer provides a thermally and chemically suitable base for the sealing resin system, on which the desired coating can be applied, despite the presence of dirt and moisture in the drainpipe, so as to ensure curing in conformity with the specifications and a service life corresponding to the material used. In another preferred form, a resin layer is applied directly to the inner surface of the pipe to be lined. To eliminate moisture, the component of the resin system which reacts with water is sprayed onto the inner surface of the pipe, thereby setting with the water. The resin mixture is then applied by centrifuging. If desired, a final layer consisting of a resin system of greater hardness and greater mechanical strength can be applied to the resin layer formed. In this case, the lower, first resin layer provides the proper medium for a more sensitive resin system, such as an epoxide resin.
|
