PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration due to damage of a dielectric oxide film and lessen the leakage of a current even in operation for a short period and thus improve a yield rate, by forming a semiconductor layer by a prescribed process from a compound containing lead and a reaction mother liquor containing persulfuric acid ions. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolytic capacitor is formed by forming in order semiconductor and conductor layers consisting of a dielectric oxide film layer and a mixture of lead dioxide and lead sulfate. The semiconductor layer is formed by chemical reaction of a compound containing lead and a reaction mother liquor containing persulfuric acid ions; besides, pH of the reaction mother liquor is kept to be 5 or more by adding a pH conditioner during the process of this reaction. A lead compound, lead citrate, lead acetate, lead chloride and the like where lead atoms are joined to chelate formation compounds such as oxine, acetylaceton, pyromeconic acid and so on are used as compounds containing lead. Further, potassium persulfate, sodium persulfate, ammonium persulfate and the like are used for compounds which provide persulfuric acid ion species. |
