PURPOSE:To enable calculation of an elastic modulus with a sufficient accuracy with a simple operation, by performing a computation by a specified formula using a plurality of piezo-electric vibrators. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of piezo-electric vibrators 3 with different resonance frequencies are prepared beforehand and combined with a test piece 2 to form a compound vibrator. A resonance frequency f2 is determined in approximation by a formula I for separate test pieces 2 from resonance frequencies of the compound vibrator and the piezo-electric vibrators 3 and a value of the frequency f2 can be determined as a true resonance frequency f2T of the test pieces 2 to satisfy f1=f2 on a curve connecting values of frequencies F2 separately determined. This enables the determination of the value of the highly accurate resonance frequency f2 with a simple operation. Thus, the resonance frequency f2 of the test pieces 2 is determined as truly close value thereby enabling accurate determination of an elastic modulus K by the formula II. |
