PURPOSE:To recover nitrogen gas further from the liquid in the bottom section of a fractionating tower to raise the efficiency of recovery of nitrogen gas by utilizing the air compressed by a recycle compressor as a heating source in a reboiler and as a cooling source in an auxiliary condenser. CONSTITUTION:Air GA which was compressed and raised in its temperature by a recycle compressor 12 heats firstly an oxygen-rich liquid at the bottom section of a fractionating tower 4 as a heating source of a reboiler 7. On the other hand the air GA itself is cooled and liquefied and led to an auxiliary condenser 13 and cools and liquefies the nitrogen gas GN from the top of the fractionating tower 4. On the other hand the air GA itself is heated and recycled to the recycle condenser 12 via a main heat exchanger 3. |
