PURPOSE:To improve current efficiency of a zinc-chlorine cell by providing a filter in a passage through which electrolyte is supplied from an electrolyte layer to a cell stuck to remove tiny bubbles of chlorine gas. CONSTITUTION:A filter container 6 composed of a filter 5 is provided in an electrolyte supplying line 4 which supplies electrolyte A from an electrolyte vessel 2 to a cell stuck 1 by an electrolyte pump 3. Bubbles of chlorine gas which are filtered and separated by the filter 5 go up in the electrolyte A of the outside of the filter 5 to be gathered in a gas collector 8 located upper portion of the filter container 6. The gas collector 8 is communicated with a gas line 10 via pipe from the cell stuck 1 to a chlorine collection vessel 9, so that the collected chlorine gas is always sucked by a gas pump 11. The bubbles are, thus, not entrapped in a zinc-chlorine cell. Accordingly, current efficiency of the cell is improved. |
