PURPOSE: To accurately stack printed products in a pile by providing a pair of fork-like holding devices in such a manner as to be pivotable. CONSTITUTION: A printed product 104 is caught by a gripper member 105 and drawn out from zigzag storage structures mutually elongated and contracted like a nest to be brought to a position 105' and placed on a rail 107. When the gripper member 105 is brought to the position 105", a rail 107 suspended on a chain 109 and the printed product 104 placed on the rail simultaneously are further moved downward. The printed products are collected into partial piles 112-115 to be received by fork-like holders 116-119. The rail 107 is turned to a position 107" over the position 107'. Then, the partial pile 112 is first turned to be placed on a transport belt 124. |
