PURPOSE:To utilize image information of a high vision television screen to the maximum by constituting the title converter so that a horizontal movement of an image can be executed by selecting a horizontal direction head address signal of original video data which has been stored in a field memory, in case of obtaining the image information in which an aspect ratio of the image is different. CONSTITUTION:The device for converting a high vision video signal to a video signal of a standard system is provided with a field memory 6 which can store a high vision television signal by converting it to a digital signal as it is, and a read-out head address control part 12 which can select a head address code of a read-out signal at the time of reading out image data from this field memory 6. In this state, the head address code can be selected freely by operating a joy stick 13A or a remote control device 13B. In such a way, when important information exits on both ends of a high vision screen, its information can be viewed on a television monitor without an image distortion. |
