PURPOSE:To perform a sorting process of shifting forms uninterruptedly by continuing copying operation until a copying cycle is finished for a group of originals when it is detected that a tray for ejected sheets is filled beyond its capacity in the course of copying. CONSTITUTION:When a copying process is performed through the use of a cyclic type automatic original feeding device 30, a set group of originals are circulated and fed by a number of cycles corresponding to a register part. When a cycle is finished and the final form thereof is received in the tray 80 for ejected forms, a shifting means 50 is operated and forms are sorted away. When it is detected that the tray is filled beyond its capacity in the course of the cycle, the copying operation is continued until the cycle is finished for the group of originals. After the end of the cycle, the copying operation is prohibited. As a result, one cycle of copying process can be performed uninterruptedly from copying to sorting, thereby improving efficiency for use. |
