A boiler (1) has a fire-box (3) which is fitted with a door (5). The door carries the flame tube (8) of a forced draught burner (9) which can burn either oil or gas. An air intake silencer (29) is fitted between the layer of thermal insulation (10), on the fire-box (3) side of the door, and the fan (15). The housing (14) for the flame tube is made of material with good thermal conductivity. This housing thus functions as a heat exchanger and pre-heats the combustion air delivered to the burner by the fan. |
