The invention concerns a computer with a manual control device, for processing programs where the program behaviour can change according to the control impulses which are given manually, particularly for control of computer games with game figures which are controlled competitively or by effect from opposite sides. A switch device (17) can be connected to the joystick port(s) (A and B) of the computer, and connects at least two joysticks (or other manual control devices) (1, 2 or 3, 4) to one joystick input (A or B) of the computer. For each joystick (1, 2, 3 or 4), a single switch (29, 31, 33 or 35 respectively) is provided for activating and deactivating the joystick, the individual switches are connected to a line (19) of the computer, and the line (19) carries an alternating output signal for alternating activation. In this way, several joysticks can be connected to each joystick port of a computer, so that the number of players relative to the number of joystick ports of the computer is doubled or can be increased several times.
