Apparatus and method of turning loads

The invention relates to an apparatus and a method of turning or rotating loads, where straps, ropes or chains are used which are at least present in pairs. The load is inserted into the straps, ropes or chains and can be turned or rotated by moving the straps, ropes or chains. The apparatus according to the invention is characterised in that the straps, ropes or chains (1) in each case form a U (2) which is open to the top and in which the load (3) can be put for support. Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment, the apparatus contains vertically adjustable cross pieces (5) onto which the load (3), in particular for working, can be placed. The apparatus according to the invention and the method are especially advantageous, since a load, once it is put down in the apparatus, can be turned or rotated as desired, it is not necessary to loop the straps, ropes or chains around the load or separately manipulate them, and safe working of loads becomes possible when they are put down on the cross pieces.
