发明名称 THERMAL FUSION TRANSFER TYPE INK FILM
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an image with a smooth expression of gradations by provid ing at least an ink release layer comprising a heat-conductive substance dis persed in a thermoplastic substance having a melt viscosity lower than that of a thermal fusion transfer type ink, between a base layer and an ink layer. CONSTITUTION:At least an ink release layer 13 comprising a heat-conductive substance dispersed in a thermoplastic substance in an amount of 0.5-10pts.wt. is provided between a base layer 12 and a thermal fusion transfer type ink layer 14 to produce an ink film 15. Heat provided by a thermal head 11 is transferred through the base layer 12 to the ink release layer 13, and then to the ink of the ink layer 14, whereby the ink is melted and adhered to a transfer recording paper. The melt viscosity of the ink release layer is lower than that of the ink layer, so that the ink release layer is liable to undergo cohesion failure, thus ensuring easy progress of the transfer of the ink.
