PURPOSE:To improve strength in a cushion material for the catalyst converter of an automobile exhaust gas by weaving and molding a yarn body in which unfoamed powder type vermiculite is attached to inorganic fiber. CONSTITUTION:Unformed powder type vermiculite is attached to inorganic fiber such as glass fiber, ceramic fiber, etc. using an adhesive. Then, the fiber is spun into a yarn body, which is woven and molded to form a flexible expansion member. Thereby, flexibility is improved, to increase strength at the time of machining same into whatever shape. |
