<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of utilizing fuel by forming a coke packed layer up to a level inclusive of primary tuyeres from the furnace bottom and forming a packed layer of scrap and iron ore up to a level inclusive of secondary tuyeres, then blowing combustion-supporting gases from both the tuyeres. CONSTITUTION:Coke and auxiliary raw materials are charged into the cylindrical furnace from the aperture thereof to form the coke packed layer 5 up to the level inclusive of the primary tuyeres 3. The scrape and iron ore are then charged therein to form the packed layer 6 consisting of the scrap 6-1 and the iron ore 6-2 up to the elvel inclusive of the secondary tuyeres 4. The combustion-supporting gas and fuel are then blown from the primary tuyeres 3 and the combustion-supporting gas is blown from the secondary tuyeres 4 to melt the scrap 6-1 and the iron ore 6-2, by which smelting reduction is executed and the molten iron 10 is produced. The molten iron of the stable amt. is thereby obtd. with high thermal efficiency.</p> |
