PURPOSE:To remove the output of an irregular image and also to effectively use a developer by once stopping a recording action at the time of detecting a developer shortage and starting again or stopping the recording action while an operator is monitoring an image. CONSTITUTION:A controller 1 selects whether to continue or stop the recording action after forming the image in this page when a CPU 2 decides the shortage of a remaining toner in a cartridge 4, and the decision is commanded through a communicating line. And the controller 1 makes the recording action start again by means of sending a command which temporarily releases the stop of a recording to the CPU 2 through the communication after the recording action is stopped by the detection of the shortage of the remaining toner. As to possible state of the recording of a recording device, whether to release it or keep it is selected; furthermore, a ready-state can be attained again after releasing the ready-state. Thus, the developer is effectively used and also the output of the irregular original is removed. |
