MASS PROLIFERATION OF PLANT BELONGING TO GENUS ARTEMISIA, FAMILY COMPOSITAE AND PRODUCTION OF SUBSTANCE HAVING CHOLAGOGIC ACTION UTILIZING THE SAME PLANT

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a large amount of young seedlings by culturing the shoot apex of a plant belonging to genus Artemisia, family Compositae in a medium containing a phytohormone and proliferating the produced shoot anlage to obtain seedlings. CONSTITUTION:A shoot anlage is induced by the rotary culture, shaking culture or stirring culture in a medium containing a phytohormone under irradiation of light. The induced shoot anlage has small spherical form with pale green color at first, and the size and number are gradually increased to form a spherical callus having dark green color. The shoot anlage of the above state is divided into several small pieces with a rod having sterilized nichrome wire and is transplanted to a fresh optimum medium. New shoot anlage can be induced similar to the former process in the medium.
