<p>A keyboard for a musical instrument comprises a plurality of keys (1) as movable parts and a key support (8) as a stationary part, each key (1) being articulated with the key support (8) so that it can be depressed for a predetermined distance against the pressure of an associated return device (17). To obtain a good striking characteristic in a pipe organ, one part (1, 8) of each return device (17) has two bearing points (4) arranged at a distance apart in the longitudinal direction of the keys, and a supporting point (C) is arranged on the other part (1, 8) between said bearing points in the direction of action of the keys (1) and at a distance from the straight line (G) joining the two bearing points (A, B), so that a non-linear but nevertheless constant spring characteristic is obtained.</p> |
