A mobile joint cutter, in particular for making cuts in road pavings, is equipped with a chassis frame (1) with running wheels (2, 3) and a drive motor (5) arranged on the chassis frame and intended for driving a sawblade (11) capable of being lowered into the working position, one of the two wheel axles (2) of the joint cutter being adjustable out of its position running at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the joint cutter. In the region of the longitudinal median plane (20) of the joint cutter, the wheel axle (2) is mounted rotatably in a swivel bearing (19) about a vertical axis, the swivel bearing (19) being connected via a transmission connection (21, 23) to an adjusting device (24-28) having a manual or motor-actuated adjusting member (28). <IMAGE>
