Said apparatus includes a mechanical oscillating system with at least one graduated tube and an optical sensor device for detecting the mechanical oscillations of the oscillatory system. The optical sensor device contains a light emitter (1), a light receiver (2) and a light guide device (3) with two quartz or sapphire rods (4, 5), which transmit the light from the light emitter (1) to the light receiver (2), whereby the transmitted light beam is subjected to the oscillations of the mechanical oscillating system. In order to improve the mechanical stability of the quartz or sapphire rods (4, 5) and to protect them against variations in temperature and against chemically aggressive media, said quartz or sapphire rods (4, 5) are embedded in ceramic material or in glass (13), which in turn is preferably surrounded by a metallic envelope (14). |
