<p>PURPOSE: To remarkably reduce a load of a hinge at flap closing time, and to prevent a twist of a flap by arranging a support device on a car body of an automobile, and partially removing extension force acting on the hinge by cooperating with a gas spring. CONSTITUTION: A support device 9 composed of a U-shaped additional part 10 and a fixing tongue piece 11 integrally formed of a thin plate press product is arranged on a stationary constitutive member, that is, a car body 4. A plate 12 loaded with a spring 13 supported by a sleeve 14 fixed to a piston rod 3 is arranged on the piston rod 3 so as to be movable in the shaft direction to be engaged with the additional part 10 by moving in an upper part against a spring 13 at the closing time of a flap 5. Thus, since force in the opposite direction of extension force acts on the piston rod 3, when spring force of the spring 13 is equalized to extension force of the piston rod 3, a load to a hinge 8 between the flap 5 and the piston rod 3 can be completely reduced.</p> |
