PURPOSE:To improve the resolution of a photographic sensitive material by incorporating a tabular silver halide particle which has a particle size having >=5 times of the thickness of a particle in an amount of at least 50% of the total projected area of the silver halide particles contd. in the same emulsion layer, and a specified compd. in at least one layer of photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The emulsion contg. the tabular silver halide particle which has the particle size having >=5 times of the thickness of the particle is incorporated in at least one layer of the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers, and the particle is incorporated in an amount of at least 50% of the total projected area of the silver halide particles contd. in the same emulsion layer. And, at least one kind of the compds. shown by formulas I and II is incorporated in at least one layer of the emulsion layers, and the compd. shown by formula III is incorporated in at least one layer of the emulsion layers. In the formula, R1-R5 and R11-R15 are each hydrogen atom or a substd. or an unsubstd. lower alkyl group, R6, R7, R16 and R17 are each hydrogen atom. Thus, the resolution of an image, without increasing a fogging and deteriorating the preserving property of a latent image is improved. |
