SIMULTANEOUS SOLDERING AND HARDENING METHOD OF LOCKER ARM PAD

PURPOSE:To simplify processes and save energy by using an iron material of self hardening as a locker arm pad material and performing the hardening and the soldering simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:The main body 1 of a locker arm is held with a jig 5. A pad 2 formed in a prescribed shape with the self-hardening material is set at the prescribed position of the body 1 through a soldering material 4 whose both surfaces are applied with a flux 3. Then a high frequency heating coil 6 is induced to the position of the body 1 at which the pad is connected so as to pass the high frequency current to the coil 6. Simultaneously a pressing force F is applied to the pad 2 with a pressing head 7 so as to perform the soldering of the pad 2. Succeedingly the pad 2 is fixed to the body 1 by means of the soldering material, and a cooling agent is blown from a cooling nozzle 8 to the soldered part and cooled. Steel and cast iron are favorably used as the self hardening material.
