PURPOSE:To reduce the probability of occurrence of collision due to simultaneous use of same logical channel number by deciding which of even/odd number of logical channel numbers is to be decided depending on the quantity of a point code of its own station and an opposite station. CONSTITUTION:For example, when the 1st exchange selects a communication line, a logical channel number selection module 11 compared its own station point code 12 (selected to be 1) with a point code 22 (selected to be 5) of an opposite station. In this case, even logical channel numbers (#0, #2,-#(2n)) are used by its own station and odd logical channel numbers (#1, #3-#(2n+1)) are used by opposite station when its own station has a smaller number. Thus, the probability of occurrence of collision is reduced.
