PURPOSE:To obtain a high-clarity image quality constantly by almost equalizing the dot sizes of a monochromatic image and a mixed color image, providing a large-size droplet nozzle for monochromatic printing and a small-size droplet nozzle for mixed color printing, and forming these nozzle groups on the same plane almost linearly. CONSTITUTION:Nozzles 3 provided at the lower half Bn of a nozzle group on a jet head 1 are designed for monochromatic printing and generate comparatively large-size ink droplets, while nozzles 2 provided at the upper half An are designed for mixed-color printing and generate comparatively small-size droplets. In addition, the nozzle interval P1 of the nozzle group An and that P2 of the nozzle group Bn are the same. Also the dot interval on the paper is designed to be the same. Furthermore, in the case of the mixed-color printing, the satisfactory print quality is obtained when 2-3 droplets are applied, in the overlapped form, on the paper.
