PURPOSE:To prevent the interruption of transfer of a file by preparing a mode where the file transfer processing is stopped after the end of the transfer of the file under execution and a mode where the file transfer processing is stopped after all queued transfer requests are carried out. CONSTITUTION:When a file transfer processing stop request is received by a transfer control means 21, a stop request control means 23 decides whether said stop request is given to a mode where the file transfer processing is stopped after the end of the transfer of the file under execution or a mode where the file transfer processing is stopped after all queued transfer requests are carried out. When the former stop request mode is decided, a transfer processor control mans 22 stops the operation of a transfer processor which so far worked every time the end of the transfer processing under execution is detected. While a transfer request control means 24 confirms the presence of the queued transfer requests every time the end of the transfer processing under execution is detected in case the latter stop request mode is decided. Then the transfer processing is stopped after all transfer requests are through.
