PURPOSE:To attain the recording with high recording density in excess of a limit of a conventional recording density by introducing a light to an optical guide path having a large difference in the refraction between a core and a clad. CONSTITUTION:A light emitted from a laser diode 4 is coupled with an optical guide core 6. The refractive index difference between the core 6 and the clad 7 is increased to reduce the spread of the light in the core 6. The light stopped smaller by the core 6 is radiated on an optical disk, the reflected light is received again by the core 6, led to a photodiode 5 through a spectroscopic element 3 and a light guide path 2 to detect information. Thus, since the spatial resolution for thin recording having been disabled in the optical head using the lens is obtained, the recording capacity is improved. |
