PURPOSE:To linearly control the temperature with the use of an air-mix door position control device including a slide type variable resistor and an air-mix door position detector, by setting the resistance characteristic of the air mix door position control device to a nonlinear type. CONSTITUTION:The resistance characteristic of the potentiometer 16 side is set so that the resistance increases linearly in dependence upon the opening degree of an air mix door, and the resistance characteristic of a slide type variable resistor 20 is set so that the resistance nonlinearly changes in dependence upon the position of a slide type temperature control lever. With this arrangement, a control unit 22 compares an air mix door position signal VB delivered from the potentiometer 16 with a signal VA indicating a position of the slide type temperature control 19 for the variable resistor 20 so as to control turn-on and -off of transistor Tr1 through Tr4. In this arrangement, the nonlinear air temperature characteristic is compensated by the nonlinear characteristic so as to be a linear characteristic corresponding to equal pitch gradations on the temperature control lever. |
