Reception method and coherent receiver for continuous phase modulation (CPM) with a reduced dimension number

A method and a novel design of a coherent receiver for CPM are described with a reduced dimension number in which, in particular for the definition of a new basis for the signal space, signals are also used which are not contained in the set of received signal elements and which cannot be produced therefrom even through linear combinations.
