The proposal is for a rivetting tool with a pressure piston, which can be used for hollow rivets. It is characterised by a ball (5) which is inserted into the pressure piston (1) and transmits the force exerted by the pressure piston to the hollow rivet (11). The dimensions of the recess (4) in the pressure piston (1) and those of the ball (5) are matched to one another in such a way that the ball has play, preferably 0.5 mm, both in the axial and in the radial direction. <IMAGE>
