In the case of my invention for the bleeding of motor vehicle brakes and clutches the 2nd person hitherto needed at the bleeding nipple is no longer required, the handling is simple and the purchase costs of the unit are very low. In addition the unit is very small. The 4mm hose is pushed on to the bleeding nipple and the latter opened. By operating the brake pedal the fluid mixed with air (drawing) A enters the valve. At point B the valve rubber widens and at point C runs through the 6mm hose into a collecting flask. When the pedal is released, the valve rubber automatically shuts off point B again, so that the fluid stops and no longer flows back. This is generally repeated 4 to 5 times until no more air bubbles remain in the 4mm hose. The bleeding nipple is then closed and the brake line is bled. <IMAGE>
