PURPOSE:To form durable electrodes and improve the life and reliability of the panel by thick-film-printing an electrically conductive paste, containing conductor plated particles consisting of LaB6 particles whose surfaces are electroless-plated with a metal layer, on a substrate and baking the same. CONSTITUTION:LaB6 particles 29 having a mean particle diameter of about 3mum are made by a ball mill and a metal layer 31 consisting of Ni is deposited on their surfaces by electroless plating to produce conductor plated particles 33. Glass binder and a solvent is added to these particles to produce an electrically conductive paste, and thick-film-printing is carried out by using this paste onto a back plate 11 as a substrate. Then, after an insulating paste is thick-film- printed, baking is carried out at a predetermined temperature to form cathode electrodes 13, consisting of LaB6-Ni electrode layers 37 containing the particles 33, and partion walls 15, and a gas discharge display panel is assembled by combining a front plate 17 having anode electrodes 19 with them. The layer 31 facilitate the conduction between the particles 33 and the surface is removed by aging to improve the durability. |
