PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium superior in high-speed recording characteristics and enhanced in whiteness in a white surface part, by a method wherein a color developer is dissolved in a water-insoluble organic solvent and thereafter poured into water to be emulsified to obtain a fluid dispersion, and this fluid dispersion is applied on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:As a color developer, the following organic acid substances are used: a phenol compound, such as 4-tert-butylphenol, alpha-naphthol, and phenol polymer; an aromatic carboxylic acid, such as benzoic acid and 4-tert-butyl benzoic acid; a salt of said phenol compound or said aromatic carboxylic acid and a polyvalent metal, such as zinc, tin, and nickel; and a complex compound such as an antipyrin complex of zinc thiocyanate. This is dissolved in a organic solvent of toluene, xylene, etc. to prepare a 5% or more solution of color developer. As a basic dye, such a material as a colorless or light-colored 3,3-bis(p- dimethylaminophenyl)-6-dimethyl-aminophthalide is used. Then, the color developer is mixed in the ratio of 50-700pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the basic dye, and applied on a substrate of paper etc. to form a recording layer thereon. |
