Manufacture of amines by a reaction at elevated temperature of an olefin or of the alcohol corresponding to its hydration, or of their mixtures, with NH3 or a primary or secondary amine in the presence of a solvent and of a catalyst consisting of ammonium sulphate or of an ammonium transition metal double sulphate.
