PURPOSE:To detect charging level of a battery by employing conductive high polymer material for coloring and discoloring by means of electrochemical oxidation-reduction reaction as a negative active material or part of it and providing a transparent section for the material at a case facing with the material. CONSTITUTION:A positive active material 2 is composed of polyaniline and a negative active material 1 a metal Li. The electrolyte absorbed by a separator 3 is the solution composed by blending lithium perchlorate of 1mol with the solution of propylene carbonate of 11. A case 4 is constructed by joining a negative electrode case 5 and a positive electrode case 6 of conductive material through a sealing material of insulative material. In this battery, a watching window 8 for coloring/discoloring of the polyaniline 2 is provided on the case 6 and a transparent plate 9 is put therein. The polyaniline 2 colors black with electromotive force of specified charging level, gradually changes into green with lowering the electromotive force and returns to black when charged. Therefore, a battery in which existence of the electromotive force can be detected without a measuring instrument. |
