The invention relates to a new variety of Hypoestes sanguinolenta called "GODFRA" whose principal characteristics lie in a colour different from that of known varieties, a brilliance of the leaves during their winter period, a perfect resistance during the various climatic stages of the year, a hardiness permitting moderate watering, average sunshine and a growth temperature of between 15 and 20 DEG C. <IMAGE>
