摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a high transmission rate even in case of the extinction state of the idling state by applying a preparatory light emission signal to an optical transmission module before a transmission signal with respect to an optical communication equipment of intermittent transmission. CONSTITUTION:When a transmission start signal (b) is outputted from a transmission start signal generating part 3, an off-delay circuit 5 outputs an off-delay signal of the transmission start signal (b), namely, a preparatory light emission signal (c) to a transmission control circuit 6. The transmission control circuit 6 starts to output a transmission signal (d) by the input of this signal (c), and OR between the preparatory light emission signal (c) and the transmission signal (d) is operated by an OR gate and this OR signal is inputted as a drive signal (e) to an optical transmission module 8 and is transmitted as an optical transmission signal (f). When an optical reception module 12 of an optical communication equipment of the other system receives the transmission signal including the preparatory light emission signal after the extinction state of the idling state, the transmission signal received after the preparatory light emission signal is stably received because the time of the preparatory light emission signal part is set to a length required for sufficient rise of the threshold level of the optical reception module 12.
