PURPOSE:To improve the dimensional stability in development processing by constituting a hydrophilic colloidal layer of a specific material at the time of forming the photosensitive material by providing the hydrophilic colloidal layer contg. a polymer latex on a polyester base. CONSTITUTION:The formation of the silver halide photographic sensitive layer by providing the hydrophilic colloidal layer contg. the polymer latex to at least one side of the polyester base is executed in the following manner: The compd. expressed by general formula I is incorporated into at least one layer of the hydrophilic colloidal layer on the base. In formula, R<1>, R<2> denote an alkyl group, aryl group, aralkyl group which may be the same as each other and R<1>, R<2> may be the groups which form a heterocycle together with a nitrogen atom by bonding each other. R<3> is a substituent; X<-> is an anion; (n) and (m) are 0 or 1. The colloidal layer is coated and dried to decrease <=300% moisture to <=50% at the time of forming the photosensitive material. Said material is preserved in the atmosphere of <=1% absolute humidity. |
