Electronic camera for the documentation of fluorescence patterns on electrophoretic gels
摘要
The normal documentation of electrophoretic gels by means of instant photographs is cumbersome and costly. The focusing of the camera is possible only with difficulty in the case of originals of low light intensity. The image of the original is integrated over the desired exposure time on a CCD-image receiver, cooled to reduce the dark current. An interference filter serves for the selection of the spectral ranges of interest. The integrated image is transmitted into a control device and digitally stored there. The image is printed out on thermal paper via a video printer. A video monitor is used for adjusting the focusing and framing of the image. The camera enables cost-effective documentation of electrophoretic gels in biochemical analysis.
