The invention takes as its departure point a dormer-window roller blind, having an elongate roller-blind casing (10) which is terminated at each of the two end surfaces by a bearing shell (11), there being rotatably mounted, on the bearing shells, a winding-up shaft (14) which extends in the longitudinal direction of the roller-blind casing, is located within the roller-blind casing and onto which the shutter (12), comprising roller-blind bars connected to one another in an articulated manner, can be wound, or from which said shutter can be unwound, a drive of the winding-up shaft being provided and, furthermore, lateral guides for the fully or partially unwound shutter being present. In order, in the case of as compact a roller-blind casing as possible, to be able to accommodate the greatest possible amount of shutter, in particular double-walled shutter, therein, the invention provides that the longitudinal centre axis (15) of the winding-up shaft (14) and its bearing points in the bearing shells (11) are at a greater distance (R1) from a first region (21) of the roller-blind casing (10) than from the second region (21'), located opposite the abovementioned region (21), of the roller-blind casing, the fastening (16) of the uppermost shutter end, when the shutter is extended, on the winding-up shaft (14) being selected such that, when the shutter is fully wound up, one layer more of the shutter winding is located between winding-up shaft and first region (21) of the roller-blind casing than between the winding-up shaft and the second region (21') of the roller-blind casing. <IMAGE>
