PURPOSE:To shorten the executing time of the whole job by executing the converting processing of the compression and extention of data as a vector processing. CONSTITUTION:The compressed form data are used for the reading/writing to a main memory MS 10. After the compressed vector data are loaded from the main body 10 to a vector register VR 20, the compressed data are extended by a shift arithmetic means SH 30, and its result is stored into the other vector register 20. The extended vector data are read from the vector register 20, compressed by the shift arithmetic means 30, and written into the main memory 10. Thus, the compression and extension of the data which have not been the object of the vector processing can be vector-processed, and the processing of the image data, etc., to require such a processing can be made extremely faster. |
