A machine tool comprises a column 10 and a work-table 30, which has a substantially vertical surface 32 and is displaceable horizontally with respect to the column, the table having a lower narrow surface resting on a guide surface 28 projecting from the column. The surface 28 is formed on a knee 24. The table 30 carries an angle-bracket 34 and is adjusted and locked by strips 40, 42. The guide surface 28 may be formed on the column. Horizontal and vertical spindles 14, 20 are carried on slides 12, 16. |
