PURPOSE:To obtain optimum power transmission, running stability, simple operability and economy by mixing for filling a magnetic substance with and in a viscous fluid in a housing and applying magnetism to both a steel resistance plate and the magnetic substance using a magnet. CONSTITUTION:The outer plates 5 of resistance plates are fitted in parallel to the inside of a housing 3 for a viscous coupling or a viscous fluid coupling connected to an input shaft 1. The housing 3 is fitted with magnets 8 and 9 at positions where a magnetic field is in parallel to and orthogonal with the resistance plates. Driving torque is transmitted from an inner plate 6 to the output shaft 2 via an inner shaft. According to the aforesaid construction, it is always possible to obtain optimum power transmission and running stability coping with the change of a running road surface condition, simple operability and economy. |
