PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the image quality of a print, even in case of increasing the enlarging magnification of the print by incorporating a specified compd. capable of being released a development retarder by allowing it to react with the oxidant of a developing main agent at the time of developing in the photosensitive material, and by controlling the total film thickness of the photosensitive layer of a multi-layer silver halide color photographic sensitive material so as not to exceed a prescribed thickness at the time of a development. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of the compd. shown by formula I capable of being released the development retarder by allowing it to react with the oxidant of the developing main agent at the time of the development is incorporated in the photosensitive material, and the total film thickness of the photosensitive layer contd. in the multilayer photosensitive material is controlled so as not to exceed 40mum at the time of the development. In formula I, A is a group capable of being cleaved a group {(L1)l-(B)m}a-(L2)n-DI by allowing it to react with the oxidant of an aromatic primary amine developing agent, L1 is a group capable of being cleaved the binding at the right side of the group L1 after being cleaved the binding at the left side of the group L1, B is a group capable of being cleaved the binding at the right side of the group B shown by formula I, L2 is a group capable of being cleaved the binding at the right side of the group L2 after being cleaved the binding at the left side of the group L2, DI is the development retarder, (l) and (m) are each 0 or 1. Thus, the clearness of the edge of an image is improved. |
